Hi Friends!

I’m honored to continue sharing encouragement from God’s word with you.  Thank you so much for your kind responses and support over the years!

Looking back, I came across an article  that I published back in 2004 titled SCATTERED.

Here’s what I wrote back then.   Do you think it still applies to today?
Keynotes from Carole – Spring 2004

Without the glue of God’s word and the Holy Spirit holding my life together, I would really feel scattered.  You too?shutterstock_305076497

With all of the responsibilities facing me, it seems like I’m looking at a table filled with puzzle pieces and don’t know where to begin to organize them!

Consider my acronym

Stressful Circumstances Attacking The Truthful Encouragement Revealed Each Day!

The truthful encouragement?  God’s Word!

Here’s what James 1:1-3   tell us:  “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes SCATTERED among the nations: Greetings.  Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”

Perseverance means steady persistence.  In other words, don’t give up!

James continues in Verse 4, “Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

My frequent response: “But Lord, I am so overwhelmed.  I don’t know how to even catch up!”

James 1:5  “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

“Thank you Lord.   I needed that!”

Let’s pray:  I’m so grateful that You, Father God, are able to connect the scattered pieces of my life and create a beautiful picture that glorifies Your name.  Thank you for Your Holy Spirit who is always with me and that You’re in control of the trials and responsibilities that can overwhelm me.  You remind me, through Your word, that I can turn my eyes away from the cares of the world and lay all of my burdens at Your feet of Your precious Son, Jesus.  Amen!

That’s what I wrote back then.  I have new puzzle pieces on my table and they will keep changing.   What a relief to know that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

In Christ always,

‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’  Acts 17:28
