The Beautiful Names of Jesus

Hi Again Friends!

Greetings and blessings to you on this lovely Spring day!

With all the difficulties in the world and closer to home, how important it is during this Lenten Season to remember the beautiful names of our Lord. Understanding His capabilities and attributes helps us to know for certain that He is in control and Lord of all! See in the opening graphic some of my favorite names for Jesus.

Did you know that there are 226 names for Jesus in the Bible? Jesus can’t be completely defined in our finite understanding but as we learn more about Him, our trust and faith becomes increasingly stronger. Through those beautiful names, God opens for us a window into the character of His Son.

Jesus made all the difference in the lives of His apostles, Peter and Paul.

…Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” (Acts 3:6)

Paul wrote to the Philippians, “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Phil. 2:10) and then, to the Colossians Paul wrote, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17)

Won’t you take a minute to consider who Jesus is to you and the difference He makes in your life?

For me, I’m certain that Jesus is who is says He is; the King of kings, Lord of lords, and our very best Friend.

What a joy to worship and praise His Holy Name forever!   Please be encouraged and blessed as we approach our Resurrection Day/Easter celebration.
