With all the difficulties in the world and at home, let’s take time to think about and remember the beautiful names of our Savior and Lord! Understanding His capabilities and attributes helps us to know for certain that He is in control and Lord over all! In this pic, notice some of Jesus’ names that bring us confidence and comfort including Faithful and True, Holy King, and Hope of Glory. Actually, there are 226 names for Jesus in the Bible. Which names are most meaningful to you? Jesus can’t be completely defined in our finite understanding but as we learn more about Him, our trust and faith can become increasingly stronger. Through His beautiful names, God opens for us a window into the magnificent character of His Son.Jesus demonstrated His love and power in His three-year ministry on earth but when He came again in the flesh after His resurrection, the disciples developed their greatest faith. Then, Jesus ascended to heaven and the disciples were given power by His Holy Spirit to minister in Jesus’ name. …Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” (Acts 3:6) Paul wrote to the Philippians, “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Phil. 2:10) and then, in the book of Colossians, Paul wrote, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17) Won’t you take a minute to consider who Jesus is to you and the difference He makes in your life? For me, I’m certain that Jesus is who is says He is; the King of kings, Lord of lords, and our very best Friend. What a joy to worship and praise His Holy Name forever!
