| Dear Friends, Have you heard the Good News? Jesus Christ gave His life for you! Through His sacrifice, suffering, and death, you have been given the privilege of approaching God’s throne of grace and calling yourself an heir to His Kingdom. But, how can that be when Jesus died on the cross and was buried? I’ve seen the answer to this question firsthand since in Jerusalem, I’ve entered both the Tomb of the Holy Sepulcher and the Garden Tombs. I can verify the truth with my own eyes (and personal photo) that He is not there! The tomb is empty! JESUS IS ALIVE! |  |
| I meet people who question their beliefs. With so many religions and philosophies to choose from, they wonder, “Is Jesus equal to God or just God’s son, with a small “s”, and no real power on his own?” “Does the price Jesus paid really make a difference for the world and for me?” The Bible refers to Jesus as the Son of God with a capital “S”. This is not a typo! Past scholars translating from the earliest scriptures wanted us to know that Jesus is far beyond the little “s” sons of God that we are. He is the Christ, the Anointed One. Jesus is King over all earthly kings and Lord over all earthly men. He is all powerful, seated next to God the Father, with a heart completely passionate about me and completely passionate about you! His love for each of us is far beyond human comprehension. Can any other religion offer such unmerited love, forgiveness, and security? If you investigate, you’ll find the answer is no. It’s Spring, a glorious time of year for all living things! Let’s not miss it! It’s our chance for a new beginning and a fresh start! Please consider where you stand this week following Easter, Resurrection Sunday. Have you surrendered your heart to Jesus, your Lord and God? Let these inspired words from the Bible permeate your mind and heart throughout the coming days. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10 If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
