Living With Gratitude

Happy All Saints Day!
As we begin this holiday season, my prayer for all of us is that we will lift up the name of Jesus in whatever we do! Our world desperately needs to know God and His great love for us. Let’s do what we can to point others to our Lord and Savior. Be a blessing and encourage others today! In Christ always,    Carole       1 Cor. 10:31
Living With Gratitude
As Thanksgiving approaches, are you thinking turkey, pumpkin pie, in-person or ZOOM gatherings with family? What about movies, sports, or just ‘kicking back’? Whatever your plans, make sure to include quality time with our Lord. Take time to focus on giving thanks this November since we have so much to be thankful for!
When we say we’re Christians, if only with a car bumper sticker, others are watching. What does being a follower of Jesus look like? You and I may be the only Christians that a pre-Christian comes in contact with. Living with gratitude is demonstrated best when we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

TAKE TIME TO PRAY!

Please join me: “Thank you, Father God for loving me beyond measure. You have blessed me, watched over me, and redeemed me through the sacrifice of your precious Son, Jesus. Help me to live out my gratitude for You every day.”
Here are some practical ways for making a difference in our world:     Daily read and contemplate God’s word to gain wisdom, confidence, and direction Daily talk with God through prayer. Be extravagant with love and kindness, looking for ways to lavish on others the love that Jesus has lavished on us. Compare everything we hear to God’s word; for our sake and the sake of others.

In Acts 3:6, Peter showed us the ultimate way to live out our gratitude when he told the beggar, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth”
Some more thoughts for living with gratitude!   What things or attitudes are you going to leave behind to be a follower of Jesus? What will be your best defense to stand against current cultural influences? Serving the Lord is a choice. Does everyone in your household honor and serve the Lord? If not, what changes can be made?
Joshua raised a large stone as a witness of the covenant made by Israel to God. This holiday season, consider putting up something that reminds you of a promise you’re making to God for this season!    God bless you as you walk each day in newness of life with our Lord!
