Still Trusting God’s Love

July Greetings to My Praise Notes Friends!
I thank the Lord for opportunities to praise Him in so many ways including through my Praise Notes monthly devotionals over these past years.Thank you for your continuing kindness, interest, and support as together we ask God for His guidance in the coming days. God bless you with a wonderful summer!
In Christ always,
Carole       1 Cor. 10:31
In these difficult times, let’s make time to remember God’s great love for us. In contrast to the sorrowful daily news reports, Gods’ word gives us hope and guides into living each day for His glory.Global media offers strong suggestions for how we should live and it’s our job to determine if those suggestions line up with God’s will! Remember that through God, we have the ability to think, consider, reason, figure out, test, and then, decide for ourselves which messages are trustworthy. To embrace and live out the truth of God’s word is clear evidence that we are still trusting God’s love!

In scripture, the Apostle Paul warns us that “They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths…But you, keep your head in all situations”  2 Timothy 4:3-5

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track”  Proverbs 3:5-6 The Message

And, aren’t you grateful that God’s love is timeless? The sacrifice that Jesus made for us two-thousand years ago is for all generations and right now! With such love, how could we not trust and show our love to God in return?

And what does the Lord require of us? That we “act justly, love mercy, and… walk humbly with your God’ Micah 6:8

These directions, not suggestions, do require God’s help through His Holy Spirit. Walking daily in His presence will lead us to the path of best choices. Our heart to heart relationship with God will also enable us to show His unconditional love to others, whatever’s going on in our lives and around us.

God bless your days ahead as you think of new ways to share God’s love. ❤
Thoughts to Consider:
1. What distracts you from thinking about God, reading His word, and talking with Him through prayer?
2. When and how has God demonstrated His love for you in a specific situation?
3.Take a few minutes to savor the beauty of God’s word by reading ‘Love Is the Greatest’ ~1 Cor. 13
Love Is the Greatest 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 from the New Living Translation
13 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
